Team Associate

Job Summary:

Brass & Thread Thrift Co., a social enterprise of the SPARK Foundation of Lloydminster, is hiring a Casual Team Associate to join our fast-paced, community-focused thrift store.

This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, reliable, and enjoys variety. You’ll support day-to-day store operations while delivering excellent service to customers, donors, clients, and volunteers.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, front-line customer and donor service
• Open and close the store; operate the POS system
• Receive, sort, merchandise, and move donations
• Support and assist volunteers in all areas of operations
• Work in retail, warehouse, and inventory areas as needed

This is not a typical retail job — every shift supports a greater community mission.

Schedule & Availability

• Saturday daytime availability is required
• Additional weekday shifts may be available
• Casual, on-call hours based on operational needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods
• Lift and move donations and retail items (including furniture and bags of clothing)

Driving Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 3 years driving experience and insurable
• Comfortable driving a truck with a trailer is an asset (training provided)

Qualifications

• Works well in a team environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365
• Preferred (but not required):
• Retail experience
• Human services experience
• Inventory or warehouse experience
