Outreach Worker – Full-time

Wage: $22.00-$27.06 per hour

As a Full-time employee, you will:

Position Overview

The Outreach Worker:

• Will support women and children in the SPARK Transitional Housing Program who are seeking to move forward from the experience of relationship/family violence.
• Promotes self-empowerment, wellbeing and goals through individualized support plans, services, and daily programming.

· Supports increased safety, wellbeing, and empowerment through case management services.

• Facilitates weekly programming and develops/implements client-wellness activities.
• Maintains a continuum of support through 1-1/ group sessions and informal engagement.

· Maintains timely, accurate, factual, and professional documents in accordance with SPARK policies and procedures.

• Works collaboratively with referral partners to promote seamless services to clients and enhance partnerships with referral organizations

· Is responsible for apartment cleaning, general housekeeping, house laundry, gardening and facility maintenance.

· Contributes to maintain a high standard of health, cleanliness, and safety in all areas of the facility. Complies with all emergency processes and risk management.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

2 Full-Time Positions: 8-hour shifts.

Schedule: Daytime, evening, weekday, weekend shifts

Experience and Competencies:

• Diploma or degree in a human service field is preferred, but a combination of related training and experience will be considered.
• Excellent knowledge of the issue of family violence, and trauma aware supports.
• Previous experience in related field would be an asset
• A valid driver's license combined with a 3-year clean driving history.
