Job Title: Food Service Supervisor Location: Lloydminster, AB Position Type: [Full-Time/Part-Time/Temporary] Department: Food Service Reports To: [Manager]. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee and manage our food service operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest quality of food and service is provided, manage staff, and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen environment. The Food Service Supervisor will work closely with the food service team to deliver exceptional dining experiences and meet organizational standards. Key Responsibilities: Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily food service activities to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and adherence to safety standards. Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain accurate records to control costs and minimize waste. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and schedule food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen assistants. Provide guidance and support to staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development. Conduct performance evaluations, address staff concerns, and implement disciplinary actions as necessary. Customer Service: Ensure that customer service standards are consistently met or exceeded. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and effective manner. Implement and uphold service protocols to enhance the dining experience. Health and Safety Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines. Develop and enforce procedures for safe food handling and kitchen cleanliness. Administrative Duties: Prepare and manage budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports. Collaborate with management to develop and implement menus, pricing, and promotional strategies. Maintain documentation and records related to food service operations, including inventory logs and staff schedules. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred. Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in food service, with at least 6 months in a supervisory role. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Certifications: Food Handler’s Certification or similar certification required; ServSafe Manager Certification preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks. Capability to lift and carry heavy objects. Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, noise, and varying temperatures. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
